Aadujeevitham and Bahrain have a special connection. It was in Bahrain, author Benyamin met the inspiration for his novel. In 2000s Benyamin was working in Bahrain, and one of his friends, Sunil told the author about the tormenting ordeal Shukur went through in a Saudi Arabian desert. Interestingly, Shukur (character Najeeb Muhammad in the novel and now a box office moving film helmed by Blessy and led by actor Prithviraj) was working there at that point of time. Now, after some initial hiccups, the movie has got a releasing date in Bahrain, April 3. Theatres in Bahrain City have listed the movie in their booking page, with shows starting from Coming Wednesday. The Kingdom has given the approval for the movie two days ago.
Before Bahrain, United Arab Emirates (UAE) was the only country that allowed the screenings of the movie Aadujeevitham. Other Gulf countries, including Qatar, Saudi Arabia and Kuwait are yet to give permission to the movie that discusses about the cruel treatment meted out to Shukur by a Bedouin ‘sponsor’.
Aadujeevitham has been listed in theatres including VOX Cinemas at City Centre Bahrain.
In Kerala and other places where the movie has been released on March 28, has already minted more than Rs 30 crore from the the box office.
Apart from Prithviraj, Aadujeevitham has an ensemble cast including Amala Paul, Jimmy Jean Louis, KR Gokul, Dr Talib Al Balushi, Nazer Karutheni, Shobha Mohan, Rik Aby, Robin Das, Baburaj Thiruvalla and Aji George.
