‘As 60% to 70% Don’t Want BJP Government, Are They Enemies Of Country?’: Criticism Over BJP’s X Post

As the 2024 Lok Sabha election kicked off with the first phase of polling yesterday, April 19, BJP’s official X (formerly Twitter) handle today, April 20, shared a post, sparking strong reactions. The post contained a video explaining Prime Minister Modi’s decade-long rule and its results. The post captioned ‘India’s enemies do not want Modi to return’ has invited prompt reactions on the saffron party’s handle.

“India’s enemies do not want Modi to return. But the people of India have made up their mind, this time we will cross 400 Watch this special video on PM Modi’s resolve for developed India…,” The post wrote along with the video.

An X user Sanjeev Mishra referring to the caption of the post ‘India’s enemies do not want Modi to return’ asked, “sixty to seventy percent Indians want that the BJP government should not come to power again! So have they all become enemies of the country?

He further asked the people to understand that Modi is not a country. “Leaders come and go. The country remains the same,” he wrote.

Pranava Bhardwaj, another user says he does not want the anti-nationals who usurp the flats of the widows of martyrs and the anti-Hindu people who take donations from beef companies to come back to power. He was referring to the allegations that the saffron party received money through electoral bonds from Pakistan based companies.

Manish Kumar Verma, another user commented that for the last 10 years, Prime Minister Modi could not punish Nirav Modi Lalit Modi Vijay Mallya. “Forget about 2 crores 100 smart cities, they could not even build 2 smart cities! Then what did Modi do?? Rest abroad,” he wrote. The video has claimed several accomplishments under the Modi government.
