Former Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) captain Virat Kohli and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) mentor Gautam Gambhir indulged in an intense discussion, leaving behind their past on-field rivalry, ahead of their franchise’s Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 clash at the Eden Gardens on Sunday.
Incidentally, this is the second time in the ongoing season that Kohli and Gambhir were seen talking to each other. The duo had earlier spoken to each other during RCB’s home leg match against KKR.

The video quickly went viral on social media as the fans went into nostalgia. One of the fans commented: “The Two Delhicites who Saved India on 2nd April 2011. Their 83 runs partnership took India from 31/2 to 114 👑👑”.
“There is no arrogance in Virat Kohli, he respects his seniors. Virat Kohli is the best player in the world,” another fan said.
“Only Indians to score fifties in two ICC finals. Gautam Gambhir 🤝 Virat Kohli,” a third fan said.
Both the franchises will be eager to clinch a victory. KKR have made an inch-perfect start to their IPL 2024 campaign as they have clinched victory in four out of their six matches while RCB are currently languishing at the bottom spot in the points table with a single win in seven matches.
