Former India captain Virat Kohli celebrated his wife and Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma’s 36th birthday along with his Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) teammates at chef Manu Chandra’s restaurant LUPA in Bengaluru.
Kohli and Anushka were accompanied by Australian all-rounder Glen Maxwell and his wife along with RCB captain Faf du Plessis among other close friends for dinner at the restaurant. A specially designed menu card that read, ‘Celebrating Anushka’, was created for the Bollywood actress as Kohli enjoyed the food experience.
“Shiny happy people + good food = joy Such a lovely evening this was, made better for this lots absolute love for the pursuit of great nosh. Happy happy birthday Anushka Sharma,” chef Manu Chandra captioned his post on Instagram.
Earlier, Kohli shared a warm birthday wish for his wife on Instagram. “I would have been completely lost if I didn’t find you. Happy birthday my love. You are the light to our world. We love you so much,” he wrote.
Kohli and Anushka had first met during a shampoo commercial. They dated for a few years before getting married in an intimate ceremony in Italy. They became parents to their first child Vaamika in January 2001 and welcomed their son Akaay in February this year.
Incidentally, the former RCB captain took time out from his IPL duties to celebrate his wife’s birthday. He will be next seen in action in the T20 World Cup 2024 in the USA and Caribbean.
