Tesla CEO Elon Musk took a jab at Jaguar’s new logo as he questioned if they still sell cars. Musk’s comment came after Jaguar unveiled its new logo on Tuesday and an ad campaign on the X platform that featured colourful imagery and trendy slogans like “create exuberant” and “break moulds.” However, the ad surprisingly didn’t show any cars.
Do you sell cars?

Jaguar quickly fired back and invited Musk to check out their vehicles. The company wrote: “Yes. We’d love to show you. Join us for a cuppa in Miami on 2nd December. Warmest regards.”

However, some users mocked Jaguar’s departure from its classic image as one user joked: “They don’t make cars anymore, they make mistakes” and “I thought this was a dating site.”
The new ad Jaguar defended its new branding, saying the iconic leaping cat emblem has been “reimagined” and that the ad campaign is a “declaration of intent” for their electric vehicle future. The company assured users that more will be revealed soon.

Since Musk’s tease highlights the rivalry between Tesla and Jaguar in the electric vehicle market the new rebranding of Jaguar aimed to appeal to a new audience. However, not everyone is convinced as comments deluged under its new ad on the X platform.
Umm, where are the cars in this ad? Is this for fashion?

Ummm hello. I am currently a Jag owner and this is beyond ridiculous. Where are the cars? Isn’t that what you do? This will cause me to not go forward with y’all when it’s time to trade mine in. What a joke you’ve become.
