Shah Rukh Khan, the king of Bollywood has become the highest tax-paying celebrity in India with a staggering amount of 93 crore paid in 2024. Following SRK, Salman Khan, the Bollywood superstar has paid 75 crores respectively, whereas Virat Kohli the cricket maestro has become the most tax-paying athlete in India paying Rs 66 crores in the financial year of 2024, according to Fortune India.

Shah Rukh Khan has shaken Bollywood recently by giving three back-to-back hits as two of the movies garnered a whopping 1000 crores at the world box office. His net worth also topped at Rs 7,300 crore being one of the ten richest people in India as per the Hurun India Rich List 2024.

1. Thalapathy Vijay 

South icon Thalapathy Vijay is in second place paying Rs 80 crore this year as tax.

2. Amitabh Bachchan 

The veteran Bollywood actor Amitabh Bachchan has paid tax of Rs 71 crore being the number four on the list.

3. Ajay Devgan 

The actor of all time, Ajay Devgan has paid Rs 42 crore as tax in India.

4. MS Doni 

The Cricket ‘Thala’ (leader) has paid an amount of 38 crores this year as tax.

5. Ranbir Kapoor

The Bollywood sensation Ranbir Kapoor has paid Rs 36 crore tax to the government in FY2024.

Other celebrities include Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar, and Bollywood debonair Hrithik Roshan both of who paid an amount of 28 crores as tax in 2024. Additional celebrities who made the top 20 list include Kapil Sharma (Rs 26 crore), Sourav Ganguly (Rs 23 crore), Kareena Kapoor (Rs 20 crore), Shahid Kapoor (Rs 14 crore), Hardik Pandya (Rs 13 crore), and Kiara Advani (Rs 12 crore). Pankaj Tripathi (Rs 11 crore)  and Katrina Kaif (Rs 11 crore). Coming to Malayalam, veteran actor Mohanlal paid Rs 14 crore as tax along with the South star Allu Arjun.
