Deepika has been selected in the Motion Pictures category, sharing the spotlight with global names including Emily Blunt, Timothée Chalamet, Rachel McAdams, Rami Malek, Demi Moore, and Stanley Tucci.

Reacting to the achievement, Deepika shared an Instagram story saying, “Gratitude”.

This is the first time a performer from the country has been honoured in the Walk of Fame’s decades-long history. The list of honorees is curated from hundreds of nominations and recognises individuals who have made significant contributions to the entertainment industry. The ceremony for the 2026 class is expected to take place sometime next year.

The actress made her Hollywood debut opposite Vin Diesel in XXX: Return of Xander Cage (2017), but her global influence has since extended well beyond film.

She was named among TIME’s 100 Most Influential People in 2018, received the TIME100 Impact Award, and unveiled the FIFA World Cup trophy at the final in Qatar in 2022, becoming the first Indian to do so.

Deepika also became the first Indian ambassador for luxury brands Louis Vuitton and Cartier.

The actress recently made headlines after her exit from Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Spirit. Deepika had reportedly sought eight-hour workdays, a high salary, and a share in the film’s profits which didn’t sit well with the director. Several other actors and filmmakers supported her demand for an eight-hour workday, calling it a fair demand.

Known for her versatility and box office success in India, Deepika continues to be one of Bollywood’s most bankable stars. She is currently working on an mega sci-fi project, tentatively titled AA22XA6, directed by Atlee alongside Allu Arjun and is expected to appear in King, co-starring Shah Rukh Khan, Suhana Khan, Jaideep Ahlawat, Abhay Verma and more.
