Which could be the most expensive car in India, and who could be owning that expensive car? It is not the Ambani’s nor the Adani’s; the most expensive car is the Bentley Mulsanne EWB Centenary Edition, and this most expensive car belongs to V. S Reddy, the Chairman and founder of British Biologicals, according to DNA. The car is priced at 14 crore.

Bentley Ltd is a popular British manufacturer, designer and marketer of luxury cars and SUV’s across the globe. Earlier, in an interview to the Evo, V. S Reddy had remarked that Bentley was the Taj Mahal among cars. He said, his childhood dream was to collect all the car brands in the country.

Mulsanne was once Bentley’s flagship car in offer, which has been discontinued by the carmaker. The regular version of Mulsanne was offered at around Rs 6 crore but the special edition comes for around Rs 14 crore, making the Mulsanne EWB Centenary Edition very expensive, at the same time, a rare product of Bentley. The centenary edition, as the name suggests, was released during the 100th anniversary, with only 100 cars manufactured, adding the exclusivity factor to the car. EWB in the ‘Bentley Mulsanne EWB Centenary Edition’ stands for Extended Wheelbase, which means more space. The exteriors of the car were in Centenary Gold, Centenary Black, and Centenary White, Cartoq said on the car.

The badging and grille are special in this edition. The car’s interior is uniquely designed for super luxury. The reclining seats are made of diamond-quilting stitching in rare hide leather. The seats can be chilled, ventilated or heated as per the needs of the passengers. The car also offers privacy curtains which can be electrically controlled.  The car is powered by a 6.75-liter V8 engine capable of generating 506 horsepower and 1020 Nm of torque. Though it comes with a huge presence, it can perform a 0 to100 kmph sprint within just 5.5 seconds. The speed limit of this car is 296 kmph, explained Cartoq.

Mr. Reddy owned Bentley Mulsanne is of rose gold, it is equipped with a 21-inch polished alloy wheel, has leather upholstery, has rear quarter vanity mirrors and rugs made of lamb wool.

The Karnataka based Mr. Reddy has 52 National and International awards to his credit. The aim of British Biological, as he began the company, was to provide preventive nutrition to people at affordable prices, keeping all age groups onboard. It is a “nutraceutical company, popularly known as the ‘Protein people,’ “one of the largest medical nutrition manufacturers impacting health and wellness with its nutritional solutions for pediatric, diabetic, genecology, cardiovascular, hepatitis and geriatric nutrition and healthcare,” its website said.
