2 Students Commit Suicide Due To Fear Of Failing NEET 2025 Exam

Two NEET aspirants from Telangana took their lives out of the fear of losing the NEET 2025 exam. Rayi Manoj Kumar and Janga Pooja hanged themselves just one day after appearing in the NEET 2025 exam. NTA conducted the NEET 2025 exam on May 4, 2025. As per the reports, the NEET UG 2025 exam was tough, especially the Physics section.

Deceased Janga Pooja, a resident of Jagital district, Telangana, appeared for the 2nd time in the NEET UG 2025 exam. Reportedly, after appearing for the exam, Pooja checked her answers and thought of not clearing the exam once again. Out of the fear of failure and stress, she hanged herself.

On similar grounds, Rayi Manoj Kumar, resident of Adilabad district in Telangana, took his life after assuming to failed the NEET UG 2025 exam. Manoj’s father is a teacher in Hyderabad.

Over 22.7 lakh candidates registered for the examination held across 5453 centres in the country and 13 cities abroad. NTA has been vigilant throughout the examination regarding paper leak issues and the spreading of misinformation.

Reportedly, in the NEET UG 2025 exam, the lowest attendance was registered in the past five years. In 2025, almost 9 percent of the candidates did not appear for the NEET exam. The overall attendance remained at 91.4% in 2025. In 2024, recorded attenance was 98 percent, which was highest in the last five years.
