Awaaz Alliance Sweeps Central Panel In EFLU Students’ Union Election

Hyderabad: In a resounding victory against hate and divisive politics, the Fraternity Movement–led Awaaz Alliance has won all Central Panel posts in the English and Foreign Languages University (EFLU) Students’ Union Election, defeating the ABVP and SFI.

“The Awaaz Alliance, comprising Fraternity Movement, MSF, and NSUI, secured a clean sweep, reflecting the strong mandate of the student community against divisive and sectarian politics,” said a statement from Fraternity.

The newly elected Central Panel members are:

President: Harshad Shibin NK (Fraternity Movement)

Vice President: Sonu Raj (NSUI)

General Secretary: Irfan Shajudheen (MSF)

Joint Secretary: Haleemathu SS Adiya (MSF)

Cultural Secretary: Ayisha Neha (Fraternity Movement)

Sports Secretary: Udita Purkait (NSUI)

“This historic victory demonstrates the growing unity of democratic student forces committed to safeguarding campus diversity, social justice, and students’ rights. The mandate clearly rejects the politics of hatred and polarisation and affirms the students’ aspiration for an inclusive, egalitarian, and vibrant campus culture,” the statement added.

“The Awaaz Alliance expresses heartfelt gratitude to the students of EFLU for their trust and support. The newly elected panel commits itself to working tirelessly for academic welfare, gender justice, minority rights, and the democratisation of campus spaces,” it said.
