The EFLU students said that the campus had rejected the hate and violence of ABVP politics, adding that the results filled them with hope for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. “The result reflects the collective spirit of this campus,” the students observed.

Based on the results, the elected candidates are Rathore Raghuvardhan as President, Fraternity Movement’s Rana Basheer as the General Secretary, MSF’s Nitha Fathima as the Vice-President and NSUI’s Nishanth as the Sports Secretary. Sweata Saha was elected as the Joint-secretary while Uthara was elected as the Cultural Secretary.

Contesting separately under the ticket of the Left Front, SFI’s only candidate contesting for the General Secretary post was defeated by Fraternity Movement’s Rana Basheer with a majority of 294 votes. The ABVP candidate secured the second-runner up position.
