CAT 2024 Application Correction Window Ends Today

The Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) opened the application correction window for the Common Admission Test (CAT) 2024 on September 27, 2024. Candidates who applied for the CAT exam can modify the details, including photographs, signatures, and city preferences on the official website – iimcat.ac.in by September 30, 2024 (5 pm).

The window is exclusively for those candidates who successfully registered and paid the application fee by the deadline. Candidates are required to log in using credentials to edit their application forms.

The CAT exam is scheduled for November 24, 2024, at various centres across the country. Last year, nearly 2.88 lakh candidates appeared for the CAT exam with a significant increase in number compared to 2022.

Also, the correction in the application form applies only to some specific fields. Changes to email address, date of birth, or mobile number are not allowed during the correction window.

The CAT exam contains both Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) and Non-Multiple Choice Questions (Non-MCQs). The paper is comprised of 3 sections: Section 1 carries Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension; Section II contains Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning and Section III contain Quantitative Ability.

The total time duration for the exam is 120 minutes with all the sections carry equal time (40 min each).

To be eligible for the CAT 2024, a candidate has to clear a bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 50 percent or equivalent CGPA. Those belongs to SC, ST and PwD categories must hold a bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 45 percent marks. Candidates with a professioanl degrees in CA, CS, ICWA and Fellow of Institute of Actuaries of India (FIAI) are also allowed to apply.
