As students are waiting for the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) class 10 and class 12 results, numerous rumours are doing the round about the results declaration. One such rumour was about CBSE class 10 results. The fake circular said this: “The CBSE Class 10 results will be officially declared on the 1st of May 2024 between 1PM & 3PM.”
When asked about this fake circular under the CBSE letter head, a board official said: “There’s no news about results yet.”
This is a normal practice of rumour mills to create such fake circulars months and week before the Board releases CBSE class 10 and 12 results. As and when the results are announced, they will be released on the official results website of the Board at cbseresults.nic.in. As in the earlier practice, the students will be informed in advance officially by press statements by the CBSE before the announcement. Students will have to keep their roll number, school number and admit card ID number handy to check their results.
Last year, the CBSE class 10 results were announced on May 12 while the class 12 results were published on May 25. As per reports, this year as well, the board exam results are expected in the same month as last year.
Meanwhile, many state boards, including Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, Assam, Punjab, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, have released their annual exam results recently. Board exam results of Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Maharashtra are yet to be announced.
CBSE, one of the largest secondary education-cum-examination bodies in the world, held the annual examinations for over 39 lakh students from India and 26 countries abroad in February and March. In Delhi alone, 5,80,192 students from 877 examination centers attended the exam.
