CUET UG - 2024 Result Likely To Be Delayed

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has not released the provisional answer key of the CUET UG exam. However, the agency was to release the CUET UG – 2024 results on June 30, 2024. As per the reports, there could be a delay in announcing the result.

The delay in the announcement of the CUET UG results will defer the admission process for undergraduate courses in the new academic year as the CUET UG exam scores are used in college and university admissions. The exam was conducted by the NTA in hybrid mode (CBT and pen and paper mode) from 15th to 24th May 2024 in 379 cities across India and 26 cities outside India. Nearly 13.48 lakh candidates participated in the exam this year.

Earlier in 2022 and 2023 the CUET UG – 2024 result was delayed. In 2022 the result was announced in September while in 2023 the CUET UG result was declared in mid-July.

The NTA is the exam conducting body for the NEET, UGC NET, CSIR UGC NET, and CUET-UG. The irregularities in the conduct of examinations are expected to cause a delay in the admission process of medical colleges. The NEET counseling will start on July 6, 2024. The UGC NET exam has also been cancelled and new exam dates are not announced yet. Moreover, the CSIR UGC NEt exam has also been postponed due to unavoidable reasons and logistic issues. The NEET-PG entrance examination has also been postponed.

The ongoing disruption in the entrance examination process will likely delay the admission process in all the courses across the colleges. Considering the irregularities central government has taken major decisions including high-level expert committee formation, CBI inquiry of the NEET exam issue, and appointment of Pramod Singh Kharola as the new director general of NTA.
