Delhi's Shreyas Mishra Secures Top Rank In JEE Main 2026; 12 Students With Perfect Score
The 17-year-old, Shreyas Mishra, has secured the perfect score in the Joint Entrance Exam (JEE) Main 2026 Session 1 exam. The Delhi JEE candidate who secured success in his first attempt lives in a paying guest in Delhi. Shreyas describes his success as ‘completely unexpected’.
Shreyas prepared for JEE while living away from his family, who live in Greater Noida, and started preparing for the exam two years ago. He reportedly told Hindustan Times that it was his fascination with maths that pulled him towards JEE. He aimed to secure the top college for his studies; however, he did not think about topping the exam, Shreyas told.
While preparing for the exam, Shreyas devoted most of his time to studying. “My schedule was not fixed in terms of hours. Some days it used to be five to six hours, while on other days it was upto 10 to 11 hours. I tried to dedicate as much time as I could, but I still feel I wasted a lot of time”, he said. After finishing the pre-board exams, the JEE topper could devote more focused hours to the preparation.
He used the last 1.5 months to give numerous mocks, do in-depth analysis, and clear doubts in classes and discussions with peers.
To avoid exhaustion from studies, he took breaks to listen music, play cricket and spend time with friends while limitng social mdia use.
Shreyas Mishra is among 12 other students who scored a perfect 100 in JEE Main exam. The other top scorers are from Rajasthan, Bihar, Odisha and Haryana.
