JEE Main 2026: Session 1 Final Answer Key Likely To Be Out Today
The National Testing Agency (NTA) is expected to release the final answer key for JEE Main 2026 session 1 today at the official website – jeemain.nta.nic.in. With the release of the answer key, the result will be declared by February 12, 2026.
JEE Main 2026 Session 1 was held from January 21 to January 29, 2026, in 10 shifts, while Paper 2 for BArch and BPlanning was held on January 29. A total of 13.5 lakh candidates registered, and over 13 lakh candidates appeared for the examination.
The result will be based on the scores of the final answer key. Every correct answer will gain +4 marks, while -1 will be given for every wrong answer.
Following the previous trends, a general category candidate may require 90-100 marks (93-95 percentile) to qualify for the JEE Advanced 2026. The top 2.5 lakh candidates will become eligible to appear for JEE Advanced.
JEE Main score is used for admissions to NITs, IITs, and GFITs, and also acts as the gateway to JEE Advanced. Candidates willing to improve their scores can opt to appear for JEE Main Session 2, scheduled from April 2 to April 9, 2026.
