15-Year-Old Hafiz-e-Quran From Nashik Secures 99.927 Percentile In JEE Main
A 15-year-old student from Maharashtra’s Nashik, Syed Zaid Sadiq, has secured a 99.927 percentile in the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2026 while completing the memorisation of the Quran simultaneously.
Reportedly, Zaid balanced rigorous preparation for the toughest competitive engineering entrance examination with his religious studies, dedicating long hours to both academic study and memorisation of the Quran.
While speaking about his success, Zaid said that discipline, time management, and support from his family and teachers played an important role in helping him manage both responsibilities.
He hopes his journey will inspire many other students to remain committed to their goals despite the challenges they face.
Notably, NTA announced the results for the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE – Main) 2026 of Paper 1 (B.E/B.Tech) on its official website – nta.ac.in. An overall 96,873 candidates have qualified for the JEE Advanced exam under the unreserved category. 25,009 qualified under the EWS category. 67,597; 37,522 and 18,790 for the OBC, SC, and ST categories, respectively.
A total of 26 candidates have secured a 100th percentile in the JEE Main 2026 Paper 1. This year the percentile has gone up to 93.412 percentile score for the Common Rank List or General Category.
