IGNOU Introduces 13 New Programs Including MBA in Healthcare and M.A. in Bhagavad Gita Studies
The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has introduced 13 courses, including four MBA programs in new domains. Interested candidates can visit IGNOU’s official website – ignouadmission.samarth.edu.in for additional information regarding the courses the university introduces.
IGNOU provides higher education at undergraduate, postgraduate, Doctorate, Diploma, and certificate level programs in various streams. These courses are approved by the UGC, AICTE, NCTE, AIU and DEB. As per the information, IGNOU’s new courses include
- MBA in Construction Management
- MBA in Logistics and Supply Chain Management
- MBA in Agribusiness Management
- MBA in Healthcare and Hospital Management
- PG Diploma in Rehabilitation Psychology
- PG Diploma in Disaster Risk Reduction and Management
- MA Geeta Studies
- Certificate Programme in Early Childhood Special Education Enabling Inclusion – Visual Impairment
- Certificate Programme in Early Childhood Special Education Enabling Inclusion – Hearing Impairment
- Certificate Programme in Early Childhood Special Education Enabling Inclusion – Intellectual Disability
- MSc (Home Science – Community Development and Extension Management).

Recently, the university issued a notification for MBA in Healthcare and Hospital Management. The programme is for graduate holders with at least 50% marks and 45% of the candidates shall be from reserved categories as per the norms.

Additionally, the admission for the MBA in construction management programme has also been initiated. This is a two-year degree program offered by the School of Engineering and Technology at IGNOU. The course is available only in English language.
The fee for each semester is Rs, 15,500 and for third semester the fee costs Rs 17,500 due to the 8 – credit projects.
IGNOU has also introduced course on “M.A. in Bhagavad Gita Studies” to promote the Indian knowledge tradition and Indian philosophy. The main objective of this course is to teach people about Bhagavad Gita, Dharma, Karma, Yagya, Sanyam, Shraddha, Moksha Sannyasa Yoga, Gita Tradition and its practical study.
