NEET PG This Month; Questions Preparation Only 2 Hours Ago: Report

The NEET PG entrance examination, which was postponed as a “precautionary measure” earlier, will be held in July, according to a report. The source-based report has also said the question paper for this senior level medial entrance examination will be prepared only two hours prior to the exam starting. The National Board of Examination (NBE), the nodal agency that conducts the NEET PG, is expected to announce a date for the entrance examination any time soon.

Earlier, in a last-minute update, the health ministry had postponed the NEET-PG entrance examination for June 22 evening, which was scheduled to be held on Sunday, June 23. The announcement by the ministry is followed by the mismanagement of several entrance examinations in the country, including NEET UG, UGC NET, and UGC CSIR NET.

The NEET exam-related issues have led to several students protests, petitions filed in the Supreme Court followed by some stern actions by the central government including the formation of the K. Radhakrishnan committee and the transferring of NEET paper leak cases to Central Bureau of Investigation for further probe.

So far, the CBI has conducted raids at seven locations in Gujarat in the NEET-UG paper leak case. The central agency has arrested another accused Jamaluddin, a journalist with a Hindi daily in Jharkhand’s Hazaribag, for allegedly assisting the principal and vice-principal of Oasis School in Bihar.

Amidst the mismanagement of the competitive and eligibility examinations, the National Testing Agency (NTA) head Subodh Kumar Singh IAS was sacked and replaced with Pradeep Singh Kharola IAS.

Meanwhile, after the Kerala government passed a resolution urging the central government to conduct a comprehensive probe into the alleged irregularities of the NEET-UG 2024 examination, Tamil Nadu unanimously passed a resolution, asking the Centre to scrape NEET and allow the state government to undertake medical admissions based on class 12 marks.
