The TestinNational g Agency (NTA) has declared the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test – Undergraduate (NEET UG) 2024 re-examination held for 1,563 candidates. Those who appeared for the exam can check their results on the NTA official website – exams.nta.ac.in. Notably, a total of 813 candidates took the retest. The re-examination took place in the same six cities but at different centers.

The exam was conducted for those candidates who were given grace marks which led to un-arbitrary results followed by a nationwide protest. The central government gave two options to these candidates – one to appear for the re-exam to get a fresh result and second, to relinquish the grace marks by not appearing in the exam and the result of these candidates will be based on the earlier marks.

The re-exam was conducted by the NTA on June 23, followed by the release of provisional answer keys, scanned copies of OMR answer sheets, and recorded responses of 813 candidates on June 28. The result was processed by considering the challenges received by the students. The experts reviewed the challenges.

The NTA said, “It is now informed that revised scorecards of all candidates of NEET(UG) 2024 who appeared in the re-test on June 23, 2024, are being hosted on the website. Candidates can log in to the website and download their respective revised scorecards”.

The NEET exam-related issues led to students protest, petitions were filled in the Supreme Court followed by some stern actions by the central government including the formation of the K. Radhakrishnan committee and the transfering of NEET paper leak cases to CBI for investigation. So far, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has made multiple arrests for the malpractices related to the exam.
