
NEET PG 2025 Counselling Delay: Pending Seat Matrix Approval By NMC And Supreme Court Hearing
NEET PG 2025 counselling delay has caused dissatisfaction among the students waiting for MD/MS admissions. While students are waiting for counselling process to start, there are speculations among the aspirants about the possible delay of the NEET PG 2025 counselling.
As per the reports, pending seat matrix approval from the National Medical Commission (NMC) and the Supreme Court pending hearing has caused the inexorbitant delay in the counselling process.
Notably, it has been 70+ days when the NEET PG exam was held on August 3, 2025. The result was also announced on August 19, 2025 and the counselling was expected to be start on September 5, 2025. However, the conselling has not been started till now. NBEMS has also not issued any official statement with regard to the NEET PG 2025 counselling.

Meanwhile, candidates have been demanding the timely counselling and starting of the academic session to avoid the unnecessary pressure of work on the resident doctors.
Earlier, several petitions were filed in Supreme Court regarding the delay in counselling as candidates were complaining of errors in the answer key and question IDs in the released answer keys by the NBEMS. However, Supreme Court denied to put stay on answer key and directed NBEMS to ensrue transparency.
