As per the information provided by the NTA, the Paper 1 (B.E/B.Tech) exam will be held on April 4,5,6,8, and 9 in two separate shifts (Shift 1 from 9 AM to 12 PM and Shift 2 from 3 PM to 6 PM). JEE Main 2024 exam is being conducted in two different sessions. During the application process, candidates had the option to apply for a single session or both sessions. The 2 opportunities allow candidates to improve their scores in the examination if they could not perform well in the first session. The two-session arrangement reduces the chances of dropping and saving an entire year.

Moreover, if the candidate appears in both sessions then his or her best NTA score will be considered to prepare the ranking.

This year almost 1221624 candidates, including 400937 females and nine third-gender persons, registered for JEE (Main) Session 1. Out of the total registered candidates, 1170048 or 95.8% of students appeared in the exam which was the highest number since NTA started conducting the examination.

Candidates are advised to keep visiting the official website of NTA to know more about the latest updates.
