MCC Announces NEET UG Counseling 2024 Schedule For 15% All India Quota Seats And Others
The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) will start NEET UG counselling 2024 for MBBS, BDS, and BSc (Nursing) courses on August 14. The counseling will be conducted in three rounds and one stray vacancy round. Reportedly, there will be overall 4 rounds following the Supreme Court Order and the fourth round is expected to end on October 24.
The MCC will conduct the NEET UG counseling 2024 for the 15 percent All India Quota seats in government colleges and 100% seats in some universities including Banaras Hindu University, Jamia Millia Islamia University, Aligarh Muslim University, ESIC Dental College, and Hospital seats.
NEET UG 2024 counseling: Important Dates
- The round 1 registration process will start on August 14 and end on August 21, 2024.
- The choices and locking option will be permitted from August 16 to August 20.
- The seat allotment process will be held on August 21 till August 22.
- Reporting and joining college is scheduled to occur from August 24 to August 29.
- Verification of candidates after the allotment will held from August 30 to 31.

The counseling process will be held for nearly 1.10 lakh MBBS seats across 710 medical colleges, 21000 BDS seats, and Ayush and nursing courses.
As per the government data, in the last 10 years number of medical colleges has gone up by 300 or 88% and the number of seats has increased by 118 percent to 1,12,112.
States have initiated their counselling process for the MBBS, BDS, BAMS and BHMS courses for the 85 percent seats under the state quota seats. Gujarat has initiated the process and the last date of counseling will be August 13. Andhra Pradesh ahs also released the list of candidates eligible to participate in the counseling process.
