Shakti Dubey Tops UPSC CSE 2024; Harshita, Archit Bag Ranks 2, 3
The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has declared the Civil Services Examination (CSE) 2025 today, April 22. The result is available at the UPSC official website – upsc.gov.in and candidates can check their result using the login credentials – roll number and date of birth. A total of 1,009 candidates have been recommended by the UPSC based on the written test of CSE 2024 and personality test.
Shakti Dubey, Harshita Goyal and Dongre Archit Parag have secured the top three ranks in the final list released by the UPSC today. Out of the top 10 candidates 4 are girls and 6 are boys.
Shakti Dubey is an Alumna of Allahabad University, and completed Masters in Biochemistry in 2018 from there. University of Allahabad has also congratulated Ms Dubey for her remarkable performance in the UPSC CSE 2024.
Also, the Jamia Millia Islamia University, Residential Coaching academy (JMI RCA) has delivered another remarkable performance by securing top ranks in the UPSC CSE 2024 result. Alfred has secured an overall rank 33, Ruchika – 51, Devanshi rank 124 and Adiba Anam Ashfaque Rank 142. A total of over 25 candidates from JMI RCA have been recommended in the UPSC CSE 2025 final list.
Out of the total recommended candidates, 335 are from General category, 109 are from EWS category, 318 are from OBC, 160 from SC and 87 from ST category.
UPSC has also reserved a consolidated Reserve List of total 230 candidates. Also, “The candidature of 241 recommended candidates has been kept provisional”, UPSC said.
As per the UPSC, a total of 180 vacacnies are available under IAS, 55 under IFS, 147 under IPS, 605 under the Central Services Group ‘A’, adn 142 under Group ‘B’ Services.
UPSC CSE examination is held in three stages – Preliminary, Main and Personal Interview.
The Personal Interview round was finalised on April 17, 2025 and candidates were eagerly waiting for their results since then.
Based on the result of the written part of Civil Services Examination, 2024 held by the Union Public Service Commission in September, 2024 and the interviews for Personality Test held in January-April, 2025, following is the list, in order of merit, of candidates who have been recommended for appointment to:
(i) Indian Administrative Service;
(ii) Indian Foreign Service;
(iii) Indian Police Service; and
(iv) Central Services, Group ‘A’ and Group ‘B’
