UPSC CSE 2025 Results Out: Anuj Agnihotri Tops, Check Results

The Union Public Service Commission has announced the final results of the Civil Services Examination 2025. Anuj Agnihotri has secured All India Rank (AIR) 1, topping one of India’s toughest competitive exams.

According to the official notification, 958 candidates have been recommended for appointment to top civil services, including the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Foreign Service (IFS), Indian Police Service (IPS), and other Central Services in Group ‘A’ and Group ‘B’.

The recruitment process included the written examination conducted in August 2025, followed by personality test interviews held between December 2025 and February 2026.

Category-wise selection

Out of the 958 recommended candidates:

  • 317 are from the General category

  • 104 from Economically Weaker Sections (EWS)

  • 306 from Other Backward Classes (OBC)

  • 158 from Scheduled Castes (SC)

  • 73 from Scheduled Tribes (ST)

The results also include candidates from the Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) categories.

Vacancies in services

The government had notified 1,087 total vacancies through the examination. These include:

  • 180 posts in IAS

  • 55 posts in IFS

  • 150 posts in IPS

  • 507 posts in Central Services Group A

  • 195 posts in Central Services Group B

The commission also said that the candidature of 348 candidates is provisional, subject to document verification, while two results have been withheld.

Candidates can check and download the UPSC CSE 2025 final results from the official UPSC website (upsc.gov.in). The marks of candidates will be uploaded within 15 days of the result announcement.

The Civil Services Examination is conducted every year by the UPSC to recruit officers for some of the most prestigious administrative services in India.
