Akansha Singh, UPSC Rank 301, Is Not Ranvir Sena's Head granddaughter; PIB Clarifies
The final result of the UPSC CSE 2025 has been declared on 06.03.2026. PIB stated that there are various media reports, wherein two candidates of the same name i.e., Akanksha Singh, are claiming to have secured the same Rank 301 in the final result of the Civil Services Examination, 2025.
In this regard, PIB has issued the clarification that as per the records of the Commission, the details of the successful candidate, who has secured Rank 301 in the final result of the Civil Services Examination (Mains), 2025, are as under:

However, as per the media reports (originally from Aaj Tak), Akansha Singh, ranked 301, is the granddaughter of the Ranveer Sena head late Brahmeshwar Nath Singh/Mukhiya. Now, PIB has issued a clarification that the rank 301 holder is from village Abhaipur, Ghazipur, Uttar Pradesh, and not from Aara, Bihar.

Mukhiya was shot dead by unidentified assailants at Katira under Ara town police station in Bhojpur district on June 1, 2012. He headed the Ranvir Sena from 1995 to 2002 and had been accused of 337 murders of Dait women, children and men (Frontline source).
