The Telangana State Council for Higher Education (TSCHE) has announced the notification for the Common Post Graduate Entrance Tests (CPGET-2024). The online registration and submission of applications will start on May 18, 2024, and the last date of submission will be on June 17, 2024. The entrance exam is expected to be held on July 5, 2024.
The entrance examination facilitates admission into post-graduate and five-year integrated programmes offered by the universities. It allows students to take a single entrance test instead of appearing for multiple university-specific exams. Osmania, Kakatiya, Satavahana, Telangana, Mahatma Gandhi, Palamuru, Telangana Mahila Viswavidyalayam and Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Hyderabad (JNTUH) accept admission through the CPGET. Candidates can start applying for the entrance exam once the registration link is activated at the official website – cpget.tsche.ac.in. For registration, a valid mobile number and email address will be necessary.
As per the Telangana principal secretary of education, the number of seats have increased in the entrance exam in comparison to the last year. The participation of female candidates is also increasing every year. In CPGET 2023, approximately 73% of the seats were filled by the women candidates.
CPGET 2024: Exam pattern and eligibility
The exam will be conducted in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode. The exam consist of 100 MCQs with 1 mark each and no mark will be deducted for the incorrect answer. The exam duration is 90 minutes and exam language will be English.
To appear for the post graduate entrance exam, a candidate must have a bachelor”s degree from a recognised institute with at least 40% marks. There is no age limit to apply for the TS CPGET 2024 exam.
The application fee for the general and backward categories are Rs 800 while for SC/ST and PwD, the fee is Rs 600.
