Bahadurganj Election Result: Mohammad Kalimuddin Of LJP Leads With A Strong Margin, Congress & AIMIM Trail

As per the latest counting trends, Mohammad Kalimuddin from Lok Janshakti Party Ram Vilas is leading with 3972 votes. He holds a significant lead of 1879 votes over his nearest rival.

Mohammed Masawar Alam from the Indian National Congress is trailing with 2093 votes, while Md Tauseef Alam from AIMIM stands at 2055 votes. The triangular contest among LJP (Ram Vilas), INC and AIMIM is shaping the early numbers.

This year, the Bahadurganj seat has multiple contenders, including Mohammed Masawar Alam from INC, Barun Kumar Singh from JSP, Md Tauseef Alam from AIMIM, Md Masoom Raza from AAP, Mohammad Kalimuddin from LJP Ram Vilas, Ahmad Hussian from TPP and several independent candidates like Tariqul Amin, Mohammad Kausar Perwez and Rohit Kumar Jha. The heavy presence of candidates indicates a fragmented vote share.

Bahadurganj remains an important constituency because national parties like the BJP, AAP, AIMIM and INC keep a close watch on the region due to its shifting political patterns. However, the current lead held by LJP Ram Vilas shows the strong influence of local leadership in this election cycle.

The Lok Janshakti Party, commonly known as LJP, was a Bihar-based political party founded in 2000 after Ram Vilas Paswan broke away from the Janata Dal. The party built a strong support base, particularly among Dalit communities in the state.

Over time, the organisation underwent a major split, resulting in the formation of two separate groups: the Lok Janshakti Party Ram Vilas and the Rashtriya Lok Janshakti Party.

In the previous 2020 Bihar Assembly election, AIMIM candidate Mohammad Anzar Nayeemi won this seat with 85855 votes and a vote share of nearly 50 per cent. In 2015, the INC had secured a big victory through M D Tauseef Alam. The seat has historically flipped between AIMIM and Congress, which makes the current LJP Ram Vilas’ lead even more significant.
