Amour Constituency Result: AIMIM’s Akhtarul Iman Leads Big Against JD(U) And Congress Candidates

The Amour Assembly seat in Purnia district continues to draw major attention in the Bihar election arena. While national parties like the JD(U) INC, AIMIM, maintain their strategic presence across the region, the Amour constituency is witnessing an intense contest shaped by strong local leadership and shifting loyalties.

According to the latest counting trends, Akhtarul Iman of the AIMIM has taken a commanding lead in Amour with 46800 votes, staying ahead by 16682 votes. In second position is Saba Zafar of the JD(U) with 30118 votes, followed by senior Congress leader Abdul Jalil Mastan, who has secured 19324 votes so far. T

The three-way contest shows how Amour remains a politically fluid constituency where major national parties and regional forces all attempt to gain ground.

Amour has historically shown unpredictable voting patterns. It has swung between the Congress, Independent candidates, the BJP, and later the AIMIM, making it one of the most closely analysed seats in Purnia district.

Even though BJP, INC, RJD, AAP, and BSP have notable influence in surrounding constituencies, the Amour seat has frequently favoured strong local personalities over party labels. The current lead of Akhtarul Iman indicates continued support for AIMIM’s grassroots presence, while JD(U) and Congress may chase the gap in later rounds.
