Lucknow To Host 19th National Jamboree From November 23; Over 30,000 To Participate
Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh: The 19th National Jamboree of the Bharat Scouts and Guides is all set to begin in Uttar Pradesh’s Lucknow from November 23 to 29. The event will be held at the Defense Expo Ground in Vrindavan Yojana.
This is the first time Lucknow will host the mega event, which returns to Uttar Pradesh after 61 years. The last Jamboree in the state was held in Prayagraj in 1964.

Over 30,000 participants, including scouts, guides, and international delegates will attend the event. Notably, the jamboree is also a celebration of the 75th anniversary of the Bharat Scouts and Guides, marking the Diamond Jubilee of the Bharat Scouts and Guides.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is expected to inaugurate the week-long event. President Droupadi Murmu is likely to attend the closing ceremony on November 28. The government has given a financial approval of Rs 56 crore for the event.

The event will feature adventure sports, cultural programs, and leadership-building exercises and the programs will be held in a Tent City specifically built to accommodate the participants. It has also planned to transform the venue into a “Mini India” showcasing the nation’s cultural diversity.
According to the officials, the main arena stadium, spread across about one million square feet, will have 12 entrances, 11 LED screens, and a VVIP gallery with five German hangars. It will also feature Wi-Fi zones, exhibition and meeting halls, a Global Village, and a Jamboree Market with 100 shops for participants’ daily needs.
