BCCI Directs Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli To Play Domestic Tournaments Or Risk ODI Exclusion
New Delhi: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has directed senior players Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli to play in domestic one-day tournaments such as the Vijay Hazare Trophy.
The BCCI claims it mandated the senior players to play to stay fit and support grassroots cricket. The Cricket Board further warned that failure to comply with the direction might potentially bar them from the national ODI squad ahead of the 2027 World Cup.
