Virat Kohli Becomes World's Best Batter In ICC Rankings, Dethrones Team-Mate Rohit Sharma
Cricketer and former Indian team captain Virat Kohli has become the world’s number one best as per the International Cricket Council (ICC) rankings.
King Kohli’s recent sensational form in ODI cricket has propelled him back to the top spot in the ranking for the first time since July 2021. Kohli scored a stroke-filled 93 off 91 balls to set up India’s win in the opening match of the three-ODI series against New Zealand in Vadodara on Sunday.

The cricketer replaced teammate Rohit Sharma to reclaim the throne, making the position his 11th time in his record-laden career.
Kolhi’s near-century run powered India to ODI victory over New Zealand, heling India chase down 301 to beat New Zealand by four wickets in the series opener on January 11 at Kotambi International Stadium. Kohli’s 93 off 91 balls earned him Player of the Match title, hitting milestones of being the fastest to 28,000 international runs in 624 innings, second only to Sachin Tendulkar.
