Bansuri Swaraj, daughter of the late former foreign affairs minister Sushma Swaraj, is poised to make her electoral debut in the upcoming elections. The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) announced her candidacy from the prestigious New Delhi Lok Sabha seat in its first list of candidates announced on Saturday. She will be up against Aam Aadmi Party’s Somnath Bharti in the elections expected to be held in April and May.
