Senior Congress leader and former Deputy Chief Minister Sachin Pilot affirms that in the upcoming Rajasthan assembly election, the party will win again with an absolute majority in the state.

“The Congress party will again win the Assembly elections with an absolute majority,” Pilot said. Mr. Pilot added that the support that people have given to individuals and the party till date will continue in the coming days.

“The people are with the Congress, and the situation right now gives me the confidence that the party is going to win with a majority,” he said.

Rajasthan Assembly Elections are awaited later this year, and the Lok Sabha Elections are planned for next year.

Considering the upcoming election, Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge approved the proposal on forming a core committee in the state, with Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa as the convenor of the core committee and Govind Ram Meghwal appointed as chairperson of the campaign committee. Among the top ten leaders, along with Pilot, Chief Minister, and senior congress leader Ashok Gehlot, are part of the core committee. Additionally, a 26-member coordination committee involving top leaders in Rajasthan and the chief minister was also formed.

When questions are asked about G20 Summit, Pilot says he acknowledges the success of the G20 and welcomes the resolutions; nonetheless, he adds, “it would have been better if the government had called (Mr Kharge)… if our Opposition leader and President of the Indian National Congress, Mallikarjun Kharge, had been called for the G20 dinner, the respect for the country would have been soared.”

The G20 gala dinner was hosted by President Droupadi Murmu on Saturday at Bharat Mandapam, the venue of the G20 summit. The event sparked controversy with the Congress party members were agitated as their chief was not invited to the summit dinner. Among the invitees, the dignitaries include chief ministers from BJP states and non-BJP leaders.
