Haryana Election Results Live Updates: BJP Set For Hattrick In Haryana

The counting of votes for the Haryana assembly elections has ended for the 90 assembly constituencies voted in a single phase held on October 5. The constituency saw a close contest between candidates from the BJP, Congress, AAP, Jannayak Janta Party (JJP), and Indian National Lok Dal (INLD) in the state.

As counting nears ends, the BJP has emerged victorious in 48 constituencies, defying the exit poll predictions that the Congress may form government, the Congress has won 37 against its poll prospect to form government after a decade. The exit polls had suggested a comfortable victory for the Congress party, noting the anti-incumbency due to the purported rising unemployment, famers’ demonstration, youth’s fury and wrestler protest.

Notably, as the BJP secured the victory mark – more than what it accumulated during the 2019 assembly elections – the Congress has raised concerns about the election result, refusing to accept the outcome, alleging EVM malpractice.
