In First List, Congress Releases 9 Candidates For Jammu And Kashmir Elections

Congress, who is contesting Jammu and Kashmir assembly elections in alliance with National Conference, CPI(M) and Panthers Party, has announced its first list early Tuesday morning. As per the INDIA alliance deal sealed on Monday, National Conference will contest on 51 seats, Congress on 32 seats, CPI(M) and Panthers Party on one seat each, while Congress and National Conference will have ‘friendly but disciplined contest’ on five seats. In the list announced today, Ghulam Ahmad Mir will contest from Dooru Assembly constituency.

The Central Election Committee has selected the following persons as Congress candidates for the ensuing elections to the Legislative Assembly of Jammu and Kashmir:
