Shiv Sena’s Anil Babar is leading in the Khanapur assembly constituency of Maharashtra. NCP-SP’s Vaibhavdada Sadashivrao Patil is trailing to Anil Babar, who is the incumbant of Khanapur Assembly constituency. As per the latest numbers, Anil Babar has a lead of more than 11,000 votes now.
Vanchit Bahujan Aaghadi’s Sangram Krushna Mane is currently in the third place.
Anil Babar has represented the constituency thrice, twice as Shiv Sena candidate and once as undivided NCP candidate.

The Jat constituency is currently represented by Congress’ Vikramsinh Balasaheb Sawant. The Jat constituency was earlier represented by BJP’s Khade Sures (Bhau) Dagadu, Prakash Shivajirao Shendage and Vilasrao Narayan Jagtap.
The counting of votes for the Assembly elections in Maharashtra is currently underway and according to the latest data provided by the Election Commission of India, BJP. The 288 assembly seats in the State went to polls in a single phase on November 20 and 66.05% voter turnout was recorded.

The major players in the election are: the ruling Mahayuti consists of the BJP, the Chief Minister Eknath Shinde-led breakaway faction of the Shiv Sena, and the deputy chief minister Ajit Pawar’s faction of the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP); the opposition comprise the INDIA bloc’s MVA or the Maha Vikas Aghadi, including the Shiv Sena (Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray), or SS (UBT) led by former CM Uddhav Thackeray, the NCP (SP) faction led by Sharad Pawar and the Congress.
This assembly polls mark first one in the state after Shiv Sena and NCP split. As the Mahayuti alliance hopes to continue in power, opposition MVA strives for a strong comeback.
