“I thank the voters of Maharashtra. This is a landslide victory. I had said before that Mahayuti will get a thumping victory. I thank all sections of the society. I also thank all the workers of the Mahayuti parties,” Maharashtra Chief Minister and Shiv Sena leader said after trends showed his alliance Mahayuti leading with massive majority.
He further thanked the “Ladki Bahin” for wronging all the estimates. “The results are the appreciation of the work we did for the last 2.5 years. We are the government of the common people and we have shown it through our work and schemes. We did development as well as implemented good schemes,” said Shinde.
On deciding the Chief Minister, Shinde said all three parties of the Mahayuti coalition – BJP, Shiv Sena, and NCP) will sit together and discuss with the seniors before taking a decision.
Congress leader Supriya Shrinate acknowledged the disappointing results for her party. She said “The outcome is not what we expected. Our campaign was strong, but we could have done better. The public has higher expectations, and we will work to meet them”.

The 2024 election result have been crucial for Eknath Shinde, especially in his stronghold, Kopri-Pachpakhadi seat in Thane. Shinde, the sitting MLA of the constituency has contested against Kedar Dighe, the nephew of his late mentor Anand Dighe, and Independent candidate Manoj Shinde, who was recently expelled from the Congress for engaging in anti-party activities.
In Maharashtra, as per latest data BJP-led Mahayuti leading in 220 seats and Congress-led Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) in 55, in which BJP alone is leading in more 125 seats. Currently the tally of Opposition MVA’s tally is less than what of the seats Shiv Sena is leading.

In Jharkhand, INDIA alliance-led by JMM in the state is leading in 50 seats while BJP-led NDA has 30 seats.
The trends suggest that Mahayuti in Maharashtra and INDIA bloc in Jharkhand are inching towards the victory.
In Wayanad Lok Sabha by-poll, Congress’ Priyanka Gandhi is racing ahead with the margin of more than 3 lakh votes.
