Congress candidate Anita Jatav won the Hindaun constituency in the 2023 Rajathan Assembly election with 90,535, defeating Rajkumari Jatav of the BJP, who polled 52,602. Hindaun witnessed a tough fight between the BJP and the Congress. The winning margin for Anits Jatav is 38,276 votes. BSP candidate Brajesh Kumar Jatav came in third by receiving 29702 votes.
The elections to the Rajasthan State Assembly were held on November 25, 2023, for 199 seats. In the last year”s assembly elections held in Hindaun, Bharosi Lal of the INC won the election. The Congress candidate defeated the BJP candidate by 1,04,694 votes. In the 2013 assembly elections, Rajkumari defeated Congress”s Bharosilal. While Rajkumari got 59,059 votes, Bharosilal received 50,948 votes. NPEP”s Manju Khairwal came in third with 18,240 votes. The constituency had 2,02,890 voters then.
In 2008, Bharosi Lal defeated Rajkumari with 30374 votes. This time, LSWP came in third with 22562 votes. Meanwhile, along with Rajasthan, the assembly elections were held in four other states, including Madhya Pradesh, Telengana, Chhattisgarh, and Mizoram. While the BJP made significant victories in Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, and Chhattisgarh, Congress won Telangana from K Chandrashekar Rao”s Bharat Rashtra Samithi.
