Telangana Assembly Election: Boath Voters Reaffirm Loyalty to BRS Party

In the 2023 assembly election update in Telengana, Anil Jadhav, the member of the Bharath Rashthra samithi (BRS), formerly known as Telengana Rasthra samithi (TRS), has gained victory.  Jadhav received strong support from the voters, acquiring a majority of 22800 votes, against Bharatiya Janatha Party’s (BJP) Soyam Bapurao, who secured 55992 votes in total. Meanwhile, Indian National Congress’ (INC) Aade Gajendar secured 32797 votes.

Boath is one of the 2 constituencies in Adilabad district of Telengana. It comes under Adilabad Loksabha constituency along with 6 other assembly constituencies. In 2014 and 2018 General elections, Rathod Bapurao of Telangana Rashtra samithi(TRS) has made a tremendous victory in Boath. In 2018, Rathod Bapurao won with 61125 votes against Soyam Bapurao who was then a member of Indian National Congress and now competed  in the panel of Bharatiya Janatha party (BJP).

When we make a whole view in to the Telangana assembly elections, INC is leading in 65 seats followed by BRS with 38 and BJP in the third position. This election has made INC a major power in the state of Telangana, defeating the supremacy of BRS. Unlike other constituencies Boath has not changed it political priorities other than BRS.

In this pivotal electoral event, assembly polls took place in four states besides Telangana, namely Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh, and Mizoram. Today the much anticipated results have been officially disclosed. The overall electoral landscape indicates a discernible shift in the dynamics of Indian politics.
