New Delhi: An AI-generated video titled ‘Trade Deal: The Inside Story‘ was published recently by the Indian National Congress social media handle, sparking political fury. The AI generative representative video explains the behind-the-scenes negotiations of an India-US trade deal involving Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

The video depicts Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s phone call with US president Donald Trump, mentioning the Epstein file and the trade deal. Several users on X shared the AI generated video, sparking political debate including criticism of the Congress party for mocking the Prime Minister.

Many call the India-US trade deal ‘imbalanced’ as Indian goods imports, according to Trump’s claim about the deal, will face an 18 percent tariff, while India reduces tariffs and non-tariff barriers on US goods to zero.

Trump also claimed that India agreed to stop buying Russian oil and committed to buy $500 billion worth of US energy, technology and farm products, suggesting an unequal nature of the trade deal with India which many presumed made India in a subordinate position.
