Telangana Election Results: Chamakura Malla Reddy Wins Medchal Assembly

BRS candidate Chamakura Malla Reddy won against INC candidate Thotakura Vajresh Yadav (Jagaiah Yadav). Medchal witnessed a stong battle between INC and BRS. Malla Reddy secured 186017 votes while, Varjesh Yadav came second securing 152598 votes. BJP candidate Yengu Sudarsan Reddy came third securing 50535 votes. In the Medchal constituency there are a total of 595382 electors in 2023.

The Telangana State Assembly election was held on 30th November 2023 for 119 seats. Medchal assembly constituency has the constituency number of 43 in Telangana state assembly and it is presently consists mandals namely, Medchal, Shamirpet, Ghatkesar, Keesara, Medipally, Kapra and Muduchinthalapalli. In the last two assembly elections held in Medchal the candidates of the TRS won the elections.

In 2014 assembly elections Malipedhi Sudheer Reddy of TRS won this seat by a margin of 43455 votes. Sudheer Reddy secured 114235 votes and Thotakura Jangaiah Yadav of TDP secured 70780 votes and came second. The Kichannagari Laxma Reddy (KLR) of INC came third securing 58016 votes. He was the elected member of Medchal constituency in 2009 election. The total 432264 electors had in 2014 elections.

Chamakura Malla Reddy of TRS defeated Kichannagari Laxma Reddy of INC in the Assembly election of 2018. Malla Reddy secured 167324 votes against Laxma Reddy who got 79334 votes. This time Nakka Prabhakar Goud of BSP came third with 25829 votes .The total electorate was 501281 in 2018.

Along with Telangana, assembly elections were held in four other states including Madhya Pradesh, Telangana, Chhattisgarh and Mizoram. The results of these four states was also announced today except for Mizoram. The results of Mizoram will be announced on December 4.
