“Will Not Enter A Temple Till…”: Congress President Says President Murmu, Kovind Were Not Invited For Ayodhya Event Due To Their Caste

Channapatna, Bengaluru Rural: Addressing a massive public meeting in Bengaluru Rural, Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge said that President Droupadi Murmu and Former President Ram Nath Kovind were not invited to the Pran Prathisthapana programme at Ayodhya and the inaugural function of Parliament due to their caste. Therefore, till every SC/ST and Backward Class Community person gets entry to the temple he will not enter the temple. He emphasised that till every citizen of India irrespective of his/her caste gets entry to the temple he will not enter into the temple.

Answering BJP’s criticism of Congressmen’s absence in Ayodhya Kharge said, “PM Modiji says though we invited Congressmen to Ayodhya they never turned up. They are showing disrespect to God. But why have you not invited our President? You have not invited the first citizen of the country even to the inaugural function of the Parliament.

“BJP calls Congress anti-nationals but they neither keep Babasaheb Dr Ambedkar’s photograph in their office nor did the BJP-RSS hoist the National flag on their party office, for years”.

In a scathing attack on PM Modi, Mr Kharge said people demand something else and in turn, Modiji gives them something else. “When people demand Roti Modiji says I have reduced the price of the cake, it is cheaper than Roti at the Bakery go and have it”.

He also added that, mentioning PM Modi’s criticism on the Congress manifesto, the guarantees announced in the manifesto don’t say that it is meant for Muslims, Hindus or any particular community, but they are for all. “They are for all the citizens of India. As the country”s Prime Minister, speaking ignorantly does not behoove Modi ji”.

“For two things the public should vote for Congress one is to save our democracy and another is to save our constitution. Modiji is asking the public to give a 2/3rd majority. Because he wants to change the constitution and it requires a 2/3rd majority. Therefore, if you want to save our constitution then please vote for Congress,” he added.
