A saga of love, friendship, home… The much-anticipated Shah Rukh Khan collaboration with Rajkumar Hirani Dunki is here with an update on King Khan’s birthday. The first teaser of the movie has been unveiled today as SRK is celebrating his 58th birthday. The footage that spans 1.48 minutes promises a heartwarming story and made the day for the fans extra special.
Shah Rukh Khan dropped the teaser through his X (formerly Twitter) handle and said that the movie encompasses a simple tale of people who are on their voyage of life to “fulfill their dreams and desires”.
“Of friendship, love, and being together… Of being in a relationship called Home! A heartwarming story by a heartwarming storyteller. It”s an honour to be a part of this journey and I hope you all come along with us”, reads the caption to the teaser provided by SRK. The movie is all set to hit the theatre screens worldwide from this Christmas.

“Get ready to embark on this emotional rollercoaster of the most amazing journey ever taken”, wrote Red Chillies Entertainment while sharing the teaser on YouTube. They have added that the film presents a “heartwarming story of a soldier’s journey to keep a promise”. Anyhow the current video, promoted as Dunki Drop 1, has not shown SRK as an army officer. Instead, Mr Khan with his friends are seen struggling to move London. The Drop 2 is said “coming soon” and more updates are on the way.
“Home is where the heart smiles the most. And at the heart of this film are people on a journey of friendship, love and their dreams”, wrote director Rajkumar Hirani on X while sharing the reaser. The movie features an ensemble of power-packed actors, with Shah Rukh Khan in the lead role and Taapsee Pannu, Boman Irani and Vicky Kaushal presenting other major roles.
Dunki, a JIO Studios, Red Chillies Entertainment, and Rajkumar Hirani Films presentation is produced by Rajkumar Hirani and Gauri Khan. The movie will hit theatres in India on December 22, and overseas a day before. It is Shah Rukh Khan”s third release of 2023 after Pathaan and Jawan, which were blockbusters, and set milestones in breaking collection records.
