Malayalam Actor Bala has tied the knot again as he married his relative, Kokila on Wednesday at the Pavakulam temple in Kaloor. The intimate morning ceremony, attended by family and close relatives marked Bala’s official third marriage. Kokila, from Chennai, is a long-known acquaintance and the couple’s wedding was a quiet, family affair but he posted a wedding picture on his social media account. His previous two marriages were surrounded by a lot of controversies and chaos. However, his second wife, Amrutha Suresh recently revealed on social media that he had been married to a Tamil actress before marrying her.

His first marriage was to Amrutha Suresh in 2010 but they parted ways in 2019 due to irreconcilable differences. The couple had a daughter, Avantika who is now 10 years old. In 2021, Bala married Elizabeth Udayan, who is a doctor by profession. But their relationship was short-lived and they didn’t open up about their divorce in public.

Bala’s health issues including a liver transplant had kept him out of the spotlight for some time. Adding to that, last week, he was arrested by the police on a complaint filed by his ex-wife and singer Amrutha Suresh. The actor was pressed against the charges of outraging the modesty of a woman and additional charges under Juvenile Justice laws and got bail later.

Actor Bala hails from a prominent lineage in the Malayalam film industry, being part of its third generation. His grandfather founded Arunachala Studios, while his father directed over 350 films and documentaries. Bala’s brother, Siva, is also an established filmmaker and cinematographer. Bala stepped into acting with his debut in the 2002 Telugu film 2 Much, where he was credited as Bala Kumar. He later entered Tamil cinema in 2003 with his role in Anbu.
