Malayalam Actor Bala Arrested On Ex-Wife's Complaint For Assault (Image-Instagram/actorbala)

Malayalam actor Bala has been arrested by the police this morning on a complaint filed by his ex-wife and singer Amrutha Suresh. The actor was pressed against the charges of outraging modesty of a woman and additional charges under Juvenile Justice laws.

Along with the actor, his manager Rajesh was also arrested by the police and the duo is still at the Kadavanthra police station and will be produced in court this evening.

As per the reports, authorities confirmed that the actor faces multiple charges including defamation through social media, offenses against womanhood, and cruelty towards children. Moreover, officials also indicated that his actions involved not just online harassment but also behavior deemed detrimental to the emotional well-being of his family members.

In her complaint, the singer accused Bala of insulting her through social media posts and claimed that his videos emotionally harmed their daughter. Pointing towards his paid interviews about his wife and daughter, Amrutha claimed that the actor has violated their divorce agreement, which prohibits personal taunts.
