Bombay High Court Advices Netflix To Postpone The Docu-Series On Indrani Mukherjea

Bombay High Court advices Netflix India to postpone the release of documentary on Indrani Mukherjea. The documentary is based on Indrani Mukherjea, who faced accusation of killing her own daughter Sheens Bora in 2012. The move was in response of concerns raised by CBI (Central Bureau of Investigation).

The division bench consisting of Justices Revati Mohite-Dere and Manjusha Deshpande, instructed the creators of the documentary to confirm, if any witnesses, who are yet to be examined in the trial were featured in their work.

The film is named as, “The Indrani Mukherjea Story: Buried Truth”, was originally slated to premiere on February 23. Helmed by Shaana Levy and Uraaz Bahl, the documentary investigates the mysterious disappearance of the 25-year-old Sheena Bora.

The documentary promises to bring out the intriguing aspects of the Sheen Bora murder case. The Docu-series include interviews with Indrani Mukherjea, her children Vidhie Mukherjea and Mikhail Bora. The focus point of the documentary is said to be on the complexities of dysfunctional family dynamics and the motivation behind the alleged crime.

As per media report, the documentary promises to reveal call recordings relevant to the murder mystery. It also presents unseen images of the Mukherjea family, adding to the insight of the high-profiled case.

Netflix plans to organise a special screening for High Court judges and CBI to ensure that legal considerations are taken into account before the release of the documentary to the public.
