The 90s classic comedy franchise Beverly Hills Cop is on board with its new sequel, declaring its comeback nearly after 30 years. As a Netflix series with the title Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F, the sequel of Eddie Murphy will be streaming on Netflix from today, June 3.
The comedy series marks the return of Eddie Murphy as the iconic Detective Axel Foley of Beverly Hills, navigating a high-stakes adventure. Alongside Eddie, Judge Reinhold and John Ashton will reprise their roles as Beverly Hills Police Department colleagues Billy Rosewood and John Taggart.

Interestingly, the fourth installment of this comedy franchise introduces a new chapter with some new faces including Taylour Paige as Axel’s daughter Jane, Joseph Gordon-Levitt will play Detective Abbott, and Kevin Bacon as Captain Cade Grant. This new installment revolves around Eddie Murphy’s hilarious adventure where his daughter Jane, portrayed by Taylour Paige, is threatened, Axel teams up with new partner Detective Bobby Abbott (Joseph Gordon-Levitt) and old friends Billy Rosewood (Judge Reinhold) and John Taggart (John Ashton) to unravel a dangerous conspiracy within the police force.

Directed by Mark Molloy, the franchise moved from Paramount to Netflix in the winter of 2019. The first movie came in 1984, which became the year’s biggest hit and established Eddie Murphy as a movie star. It was then followed by two sequels, released in 1987 and 1994.
