Mumbai, 24th May, 2024: Netflix has revealed that the third installment of the much loved “Knives Out” franchise, directed by Rian Johnson, is all set to premiere in 2025. Benoit Blanc, the astute detective portrayed by Daniel Craig, returns to tackle his most dangerous case yet. The film promises fans yet another thrilling and intricate mystery to unravel, building on the success of its predecessors. With Johnson once again at the helm, audiences can expect sharp wit and unexpected twists at every corner.
“Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery” (titled onscreen as simply “Glass Onion”), the previous movie considered Knives Out 2, released in 2022 written and directed by Rian Johnson, and produced by Johnson and Ram Bergman. This standalone sequel to the 2019 film “Knives Out” also featured Daniel Craig reprising his role as master detective Benoit Blanc, who tackles a new case involving tech billionaire Miles Bron (played by Edward Norton) and his closest friends.
The second edition had an ensemble cast includes Janelle Monáe, Kathryn Hahn, Leslie Odom Jr., Jessica Henwick, Madelyn Cline, Kate Hudson, and Dave Bautista. The film was nominated for Best Adapted Screenplay at the 95th Academy Awards and received numerous other accolades.
