Malayalam actor Fahadh Faasil recently stunned his fans, revealing that he has not used a smartphone for the past one year. The actor, who made headlines last week when he was spotted using a keypad phone, said he prefers to stay away from using social media.

While speaking in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter India, the actor said that in two years, he wants the only channel through which he would be accessible to be e-mail. The Aavesham actor said that he has found another way to watch it something important when he is tempted to use a smartphone. “I am looking into ways to be more disciplined and utilise time effectively,” he added

When the actor was asked if he feared he would get alienated from the next generation’s audience if he abstained from using social media, Fahadh said he would only get alienated from the moment he makes bad movies. “Nothing else can alienate me from the audience,” the actor was heard saying in the interview.

Last week, the actor was seen using a luxury brand keypad phone launched two decades ago, worth around Rs 5–10 lakh. He expressed his desire to have minimal interaction with digital media and his intention to stay away from social media distractions.
